Jason graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1996 and began his career as an RMT working alongside Physiotherapists and Chiropractors in Langley and Mission. During this time, Jason also worked with the Abbotsford Pilots hockey club on their run to the Keystone cup and for Team Canada in the Race Across America (RAAM) 1997. It wasn’t too long before the travel bug hit and Jason ventured out to the open seas working aboard Luxury Cruise lines as a therapist and Spa Manager where he met his wife, Silvia. After a few years of experiencing life together in Whistler and then Mexico, Jason and Silvia returned to the lower mainland to raise their family and started Equilibra Registered Massage Therapy and Reflexology.
Jason grew up playing all sports from hockey and lacrosse to rugby and football, where he suffered a season ending shoulder injury requiring surgery. During his rehabilitation from shoulder surgery Jason’s intrigue into rehabilitation and human anatomy began. Through his many years of treatment and continuing education, Jason has furthered his knowledge in a variety of orthopaedic conditions and has extensive experience treating sports, motor vehicle injuries as well as chronic and acute pain affecting all areas of the body. Jason is known for his deep tissue approach to treatment and may incorporate a variety of techniques such as muscle energy, trigger point, joint mobilization, therapeutic exercise and stretching. Whatever your concern from an acute injury to relaxation he will tailor a treatment program to suit your needs.
When not at the clinic Jason enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his son’s lacrosse teams, skiing, playing hockey, and golf.
The journey of exploring natural healing modalities is a profound and personal one, often leading to a deeper understanding of the intricate connection between mind and body . I believe that through practices such as yoga and meditation individuals can cultivate a sense of inner peace and physical well being which can be transformative. The relationship between emotional stress and physical symptoms is a key aspect of intuitive medicine recognizing that our thoughts and feelings can manifest in our physical health. Silvia strives to provide a safe and relaxing environment during your healing sessions, as it allows individuals to enter a restorative state, fostering a sense of calm and nurturing that is conductive recovery. Silvia’s holistic approach to health care emphasizes the importance of balance and harmony within the body, and the power of the human body to heal itself when supported in the right ways.
