Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a form of massage designed to help athletes maximize performance and assist in prevention and recovery following an event, training or injury. It utilizes techniques such as neuromuscular therapy, petrissage, jostling and stretching. Each treatment either pre, post event or during training is adapted to the athlete's current needs.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue treatments address the deeper layers of muscle and fascia, searching out and releasing restriction of tissue and knots more aptly known as trigger points while increasing circulation and producing an invigorated and stress-relieved state. These adhesions and trigger points are often the cause of such things as chronic back/neck pain, headaches and limited motion. The main goal is to relax the muscle and release chronic tension patterns through kneading, focused point pressure and localized friction techniques. Due to the specific nature of this technique, temporary soreness following the treatment may occur.

Foot Reflexology

Reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principal that for every organ and gland of the body there are corresponding reflex points on the hands, feet and ears. Through the application of specific thumb and finger techniques, reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation and promotes the natural function of the body returning it to inner balance.

The session will begin with a warm epsom salts foot bath to help relax your feet, followed by a 60 minute massage using specific pressure techniques performed on your feet and lower leg. The treatment is concluded with a gentle foot massage with lotion to soothe the skin.
